You could improve yourself!

03:15 min HD loop

A man dressed relatively well and who seems in control, even respectable, yells at you repeatedly that you can improve yourself, that things could be done differently. He conjures in you, through his manic bleating, a sense that nothing you have done up to this point in your life is enough, that you are wasting the gifts someone or something has given you. You switch off the television and prepare to leave your house, certain that if you really try you can break this apparent cycle of failure, which until just now you were completely unaware of inhabiting. As you struggle and strive, push and strain, your confidence slowly begins to wane and by the time you return home  and crawl under the covers, those that would normally offer you comfort and solace, you feel wretched and despondent, confident of nothing other than your own self pity. Was the respectable man on the TV correct? Could you improve yourself? Could you change for the better?
